Who We Are
Hi! I’m Rebecca Osborne. My husband and I currently live in Conroe, Texas (about an hour north of Houston) with our two boys. He does not work a typical 9 to 5 job so it is a blessing that we have been able to homeschool for the past 10 years and be available when he is home to spend time together. Our family is extremely active in our church and the sports the boys have decided to pursue. I serve on the board of three of the four sports teams they are on which means my husband gets to be voluntold what tasks need to be done quite often. He has been great about jumping in and helping.
Although I have tried several career paths, my favorite by far was being a surrogate. Four couples put their faith in me to be part of the journey to complete their family. In an ideal world, I would continue to bless families in this way and have a fulfilling career. One of my favorite quotes is “Choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life.” I have no idea who said that, but it’s exactly how I feel about being a gestational carrier. Reality did eventually hit though. That is when I began searching for a new way to help people. My volunteer roles with my boys’ sports teams have taught me invaluable skills in the virtual assistant world. Organizing people and documents, creating spreadsheets and websites, marketing events and organizations and budgeting are just a few. I love to use these skills to help small businesses become more productive and successful. My personality strengths of responsibility, consistency and harmony make me an ideal virtual assistant. Cultivating a relationship with my clients to understand how to best serve them is my highest priority.
In my free time, I love to read and do all things crafty. Every year I try to find a new craft to make Christmas presents for my family. Crocheting and paper crafts are probably my favorite. I’ve tried to get my boys to let me add origami to our homeschool curriculum, but they aren’t buying it. Maybe one day (in the very distant future) I will have a granddaughter who will share my joy of crafting.
